Transbay Transit Center construction monitoring

Archaeological monitoring during demolition and construction of the Transbay Transit Center and adjacent projects documented buried 19th‑century wharf timbers, fill deposits, and maritime artifacts associated with the historic waterfront. Findings were reported in cultural‑resource studies prepared for the Transbay Joint Powers Authority and informed project mitigation and curation of recovered materials. These records contribute to the archaeological understanding of San Francisco's mid‑19th‑ to early‑20th‑century waterfront development.
