Senior Hall (Berkeley, California)

Senior Hall, also known as Golden Bear Lodge, is a historic log cabin located on the University of California, Berkeley campus. Designed by architect John Galen Howard and completed in 1906, this unique structure served as a meeting place for the Order of the Golden Bear, a senior honor society. Initially exclusive to male students, Senior Hall played a crucial role in fostering student self-governance and community discussions. Despite facing potential demolition in the 1970s, it was preserved and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
