Viva Las Vegas (1964), starring Elvis Presley, shot multiple scenes on location in downtown Las Vegas, including sequences filmed on Fremont Street and in the surrounding casino district. The film's on-location footage helped showcase the neon-lined downtown atmosphere of 1960s Las Vegas. Several exterior shots include the Golden Nugget and nearby businesses that were present on Fremont Street at the time.
