Heard Museum archaeological collections

The Heard Museum in Phoenix maintains collections that include archaeological artifacts from the American Southwest, such as prehistoric ceramics, stone tools, and basketry. The museum researches and exhibits material culture from precontact and historic Native American communities and collaborates with scholars and tribal representatives on provenance and interpretation. The Heard has participated in repatriation consultations under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA).
