Ying Fo Fui Kun

Ying Fo Fui Kun is a historic Hakka clan association located on Telok Ayer Street in Singapore, established in 1822-1823. As the oldest clan association in the country, it originally served as a temple for Hakka immigrants and evolved into a community hub providing welfare services and education, including the Ying Sin School from 1905 to 1971. The clan house, built between 1881-1882, features intricate architecture with inscribed stone tablets and an altar dedicated to the deity Guan Ti. It has been well-preserved and was designated a national monument in 1998, making it a significant site for tourists and researchers interested in Singapore's Chinese heritage.
