Carpenter's Hall - meeting place of the First Continental Congress

Carpenter's Hall, built for the Carpenters' Company and completed in 1774, was the meeting place of the First Continental Congress in 1774. The building is notable as a preserved 18th‑century meeting hall and is the only surviving colonial era structure that hosted that particular congress. Today it operates as a museum interpreting colonial craftsmen, civic life, and the events of 1774.
