St. Nicholas Orphanage

St. Nicholas Orphanage, established in 1996 in Novosibirsk, Russia, was the only Catholic orphanage in Siberia and a pioneer in social innovations. Accommodating up to 50 children aged 3-17, it employed a dedicated staff, including six religious sisters. The orphanage gained national recognition for its unique support programs for children's biological families and its assistance to graduates. It also welcomed foreign student volunteers and achieved acclaim through its Theater Studio, winning awards at international festivals. Unfortunately, it closed in 2015 due to a decline in the number of orphans in the region.
