California Theatre of the Performing Arts

The California Theatre in downtown San Jose opened in 1927 as a vaudeville and movie palace and was later restored and reopened as a performing arts venue. The theater presents touring concerts, theatrical productions, dance, and film screenings and serves as a historic cultural landmark in the city's downtown arts district. Its restoration returned the building to active use as a mid-sized performing arts venue.
