The Skirvin Hilton - Historic downtown hotel and local lore

The Skirvin Hotel originally opened in 1911 as one of Oklahoma City's first luxury hotels and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The property closed in 1988, underwent extensive restoration, and reopened in 2007 as The Skirvin Hilton, returning it to downtown prominence. The hotel is also the subject of long-standing local ghost stories; that folklore is widely reported but remains anecdotal and disputed.
