Springs Preserve archaeological resources and exhibits

Springs Preserve conserves the site of the historic Las Vegas Springs and interprets millennia of human use, including archaeological evidence of prehistoric Native American occupation and historic-era settlement. Archaeological investigations at the springs and adjacent wetlands have recovered artifacts, hearth features, and stratified deposits that document long-term Mojave Desert habitation and later Euro-American use of the water source. The Preserve presents excavation results and artifacts in its museum exhibits and ongoing public programs.
