Space Needle, Seattle’s World's Fair icon

The Space Needle was built for the 1962 Century 21 Exposition (the World's Fair) and has a roof height of 605 feet. Its public observation deck is located at 520 feet and provides panoramic views of downtown Seattle, Elliott Bay, Mount Rainier, and the Cascade Range. The tower originally included a rotating restaurant (SkyCity) near the top and remains one of the city's most recognizable landmarks.
