Drybridge House, Monmouth

Drybridge House is a stunning 17th-century Grade II* listed building located in Monmouth, Wales, now serving as a community centre. Originally built for John Roberts before 1558, the house was rebuilt in 1671 and features exquisite interiors with fine plasterwork, woodcarvings, and Arthurian-themed roundels. The estate was historically owned by the Roberts family, who contributed significantly to the local community. Notably, the house was frequented by composer Edward Elgar. After years of neglect, it was restored in the late 1990s and opened to the public in 2003, making it a key stop on the Monmouth Heritage Trail.
