State Fair of Texas (one of the largest U.S. state fairs)

The State Fair of Texas, held annually at Fair Park, is one of the largest state fairs in the United States. The multi-week event features livestock competitions, concerts, large carnival attractions such as the Texas Star Ferris wheel, and a long history of showcasing new fried-food creations. Historically the fair has drawn more than two million visitors in many years, though attendance varies year to year.
