Knapp Center

The Knapp Center is a 6,424-seat multi-purpose arena located on the campus of Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, built in 1992. It serves as the home for Drake Men's and Women's Basketball and Women's Volleyball, and has hosted significant events including the Beautiful Bulldog Contest during the Drake Relays and numerous high school graduations. The arena features modern amenities following renovations in 2022 and is named after William Knapp, a key benefactor. Notably, it has hosted lectures by prominent figures such as Maya Angelou and former Presidents, making it a hub for both sports and cultural events.
