Normal Hall (Ladoga, Indiana)

Normal Hall, a historic school building in Ladoga, Indiana, was constructed in 1878 and showcases a blend of Greek Revival and Italianate architectural styles. This two-story brick structure features a hipped roof with an open cupola, originally serving as a bell tower added in 1907. It is the last remaining building linked to the Central Indiana Normal School, which moved to Danville to become Canterbury College. After serving local schools until 1917, it transitioned to an armory and later became home to an American Legion post. Recognized for its historical significance, Normal Hall was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1996, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in Indiana's educational history.
