International Rose Test Garden (Washington Park)

The International Rose Test Garden in Washington Park was established in 1917 and is the oldest continuously operated public rose test garden in the United States. It functions as a testing ground for new rose varieties and displays many cultivars across terraced beds with views over the city. The garden is open to the public and is maintained with city and volunteer support as part of Portland's horticultural landmarks.
