Houston Zoo

The Houston Zoo opened in 1922 in Hermann Park and has grown into a large zoological institution housing thousands of animals across hundreds of species. The zoo operates conservation, education, and research programs and is one of Texas's most-visited cultural attractions. Its campus includes both historic exhibit areas and modern facilities integrated with Hermann Park's recreational landscape.
