Isaac M. Powers House

The Isaac M. Powers House, located in Wallace, Duplin County, North Carolina, is a historic home built around 1878. This one-story frame dwelling features Greek Revival design elements and is notable for being the residence of Reverend Isaac Powers, one of the first African-American landowners in the area. Although a rear ell was lost to fire in 1979, the property still includes a contributing smokehouse. The house was recognized for its historical significance and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999, making it an interesting site for both tourists and researchers interested in African-American history and architecture.
