Eagles Temple (Akron, Ohio)

The Eagles Temple, a historic site in downtown Akron, Ohio, was a notable Fraternal Order of Eagles building known for its striking Art Deco architecture. Constructed in 1917 and redesigned in 1930, it served as a community hub during the Great Depression, providing thousands of charity meals. The building, which showcased terracotta and intricate artwork, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 for its architectural significance and local historical impact. Although demolished in 1987, it remains an important part of Akron's heritage.
