Jubilee Building

The Jubilee Building, located in Perth, Western Australia, is a heritage-listed structure that forms part of the Western Australian Museum. Designed in the Victorian Byzantine style by architect George Temple-Poole and completed in 1899, it was originally intended to serve as a library, museum, and art gallery to celebrate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. After a change of plans and location, construction began in 1897, and the museum moved into the building's basement before its official opening. The building has since undergone refurbishment and is now a key feature of the Perth Cultural Centre, enhancing the cultural landscape of the area.
