David Elias Building

The David Elias Building, located at the intersection of Short Street and Middle Road in Singapore, is a historic three-storey structure built in 1928 by Jewish merchant David J. Elias to accommodate his trading company. Designed by the renowned architectural firm Swan & Maclaren, the building features distinctive bas-relief Stars of David on its façade, along with a high-pitched roof and arches between pillars. Originally home to Cold Storage & Co., it later became the Sun Sun Hotel until 1999. Currently undergoing renovation, it will soon serve as the headquarters for Flo Energy. The building is recognized for its architectural significance and was gazetted for conservation in the 1990s.
