Leadership & Public Service High School

Leadership & Public Service High School, established in 1993 in Manhattan, is a unique educational institution created through a collaboration between Syracuse University's Maxwell School and the New York City Board of Education. Located just blocks from the World Trade Center, the school faced significant challenges during the September 11 attacks, leading to its temporary evacuation and later relocation. The school is known for its strong college preparatory programs and has a history of high college graduation rates among its students. It offers a variety of extracurricular activities, including sports and clubs like photography, journalism, and robotics, fostering a well-rounded educational experience.
