Charles L. Sewall Center

The Charles L. Sewall Center, affectionately known as 'The Chuck,' was a vibrant 3,056-seat sports arena located in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, just outside Pittsburgh. Opened in 1985, it served as the home for the Robert Morris Colonials men's and women's basketball teams and the women's volleyball team until its closure in 2017. The arena hosted significant events, including the Northeast Conference men's basketball tournament on four occasions. Named after the university's long-serving president, the Sewall Center was a hub of collegiate sports before it was demolished to make way for the new UPMC Events Center, which features a larger capacity and modern amenities. Its last event was a volleyball tournament in September 2017, marking the end of an era for local sports fans.
