Hueco Tanks bouldering and pictographs

Hueco Tanks State Historic Site is a nationally recognized bouldering destination located on a granite outcrop where climbers work hundreds of short, technical problems. The site also contains prehistoric pictographs and Native American cultural resources that are protected; several pictograph panels are interpreted by the park. Day-use visits require timed-entry reservations or permits and some climbing sectors are seasonally or permanently closed to protect cultural and natural resources.
