Majestic Theatre - Official State Theatre of Texas

The Majestic Theatre opened in 1929 and was designed by architect John Eberson as an atmospheric movie palace. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and continues to host concerts, Broadway touring shows, and special events. The Texas Legislature has designated the Majestic Theatre as the Official State Theatre of Texas. The building's ornate interior and historic marquee make it a distinctive performing-arts landmark in downtown San Antonio.
