Tommy Weisbecker Haus

The Tommy Weisbecker Haus is a unique housing co-operative and self-managed social centre located in Kreuzberg, Berlin, established in 1973 as a response to youth homelessness. Named after Tommy Weissbecker, a young anarchist, the building has a rich history tied to social movements and street art. It features vibrant murals that have made it a celebrated site for graffiti enthusiasts. The centre continues to serve the community by providing housing for around 40 residents and offering support for homeless youths through its Café Linie 1. In 2013, it marked its 40th anniversary and secured a new lease, ensuring its ongoing role as a hub for social activism and community engagement.
