Boomerang, Elizabeth Bay

Boomerang is a heritage-listed private house and garden located in Elizabeth Bay, New South Wales, designed by architect Neville Hampson and built between 1926 and 1928. Originally owned by music publisher Frank Albert, the house features a unique private cinema and was used as a filming location for 'Mission: Impossible 2'. The gardens, redesigned in 2011, showcase historical plantings, including trees from the Macleay family's estate. The site is significant for its rich history, including its connection to the indigenous Cadigal people and its evolution from a fishing village to a prestigious residential area. Boomerang is recognized as one of Sydney's most expensive homes and was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register in 1999.
