Jefferson Female Seminary

The Jefferson Female Seminary, also known as Jefferson Female College, consists of two historic school buildings in Jefferson City, Missouri, built between 1884 and 1898. These charming two-story brick structures feature front and rear porches and hipped roofs. Although the school closed in 1898, the buildings have been repurposed for residential use since 1900. Recognized for their historical significance, they were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000 and are situated in the Capitol Avenue Historic District, making them an interesting stop for tourists and researchers alike.
