Rene Beauregard House

The Malus-Beauregard House, built between 1832-1833 and later remodeled in the Greek Revival style, is located in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, near the historic Chalmette battlefield of the 1815 Battle of New Orleans. This house, which served as a country residence for affluent families, showcases a unique blend of French Creole and American architectural influences. Although it once functioned as a Visitor Center for the battlefield, it has been closed since Hurricane Katrina.
