Scott-Majors House

The Scott-Majors House, located at 425 Chestnut St. in Colorado City, Texas, is a historic landmark built in 1882 or 1883 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1979. Known as the first brick house in the area, it was constructed by Colonel J.P. Hodgson and later purchased by Winfield Scott, a prominent banker who expanded and redecorated the home.
