The Parthenon in Centennial Park - full-scale replica and art museum

The Parthenon in Centennial Park is a full-scale replica of the ancient Parthenon in Athens that was originally constructed for the 1897 Tennessee Centennial Exposition and later rebuilt in permanent materials. It functions as an art museum and exhibition space for the city. The interior houses a large re-creation of the Athena Parthenos, a 42-foot-tall statue sculpted by Alan LeQuire and installed in 1990.
