Elm Grove (Southside, West Virginia)

Elm Grove, also known as Long's Landing, is a historic district in Southside, Mason County, West Virginia, featuring a collection of seven contributing buildings and one structure. The centerpiece is a High Victorian Italianate-style brick farmhouse built in 1884, notable for its unique architectural details including round attic portholes and multiple porches. The site also includes a two-story log house from 1803, a 1920s bungalow, a late 19th-century barn, and a large sandstone fireplace kiln. Elm Grove was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers interested in American architectural history.
