Cassina Point

Cassina Point, also known as the Hopkinson House, is a historic antebellum home located in South Carolina, built in 1847 for Carolina Lafayette Seabrook and her husband James Hopkinson. This remarkable house, a remnant of a sea island cotton plantation, features a distinctive architectural style with a side-gable roof, brick chimneys, and elegant interior details like marble mantles. The property is steeped in history, as James Hopkinson was related to a signer of the Declaration of Independence, and the house played a role during the Civil War.
