Ninfa's on Navigation (Mama Ninfa's original restaurant)

Ninfa's on Navigation was opened by María “Mama Ninfa” Laurenzo in 1973 at this location. The restaurant is widely credited with popularizing fajitas and the tacos al carbón style in Houston and helped launch the Ninfa's restaurant chain. The original Navigation location became an iconic site in Houston's Mexican-American food history.
