Žiča

The Žiča Monastery, an early 13th-century Serbian Orthodox site near Kraljevo, is a significant cultural monument and a must-visit for tourists and researchers alike. Founded by King Stefan the First-Crowned and Saint Sava, it served as the coronational church for Serbian kings and the seat of the Serbian Archbishopric from 1219 to 1253. The monastery showcases Rascian architectural style and features stunning frescoes, although some have suffered damage over the centuries.
