Janss Investment Company Building

The Janss Investment Company Building, also known as the Janss Dome, is a historic landmark located in Westwood Village, Los Angeles, California. Built in 1929, it was the first structure in the Mediterranean-themed village developed by the Janss brothers, serving as the headquarters for their investment company and the first male dormitory for UCLA students. Designed by the architectural firm Allison & Allison, the building features an octagonal shape topped with a distinctive dome adorned with a Moorish-style aqua and white zig-zag pattern. Over the years, it has housed various businesses, including restaurants and retail stores, and was designated a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument in 1988. Today, it is home to the Broxton Brewery & Public House, making it a notable stop for tourists and researchers interested in architectural history and the development of Westwood Village.
