Franklin Square

Franklin Square is one of the five original public squares laid out by William Penn in 1682. The park contains a fountain, a playground, a Philly-themed mini-golf course, and a restored 1899 carousel operated by the Franklin Square Conservancy. The site underwent major restoration and reopened in 2006 and is managed as a public park and civic space in Center City.
