Harrison Gray Otis House (Otis House Museum)

Built in 1796 and designed by architect Charles Bulfinch, the Harrison Gray Otis House is an important example of Federal-period domestic architecture in Boston. It was the city residence of lawyer and politician Harrison Gray Otis and later became a preserved historic house museum. The building is recognized for its original architectural details and period interiors interpreting late 18th- and early 19th-century urban life.
