Blackstone Building (Fort Wayne, Indiana)

The Blackstone Building is a historic commercial structure in downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana, designed by architect Charles R. Weatherhogg and completed in 1927. This three-story, Classical Revival style brick building features elegant Ionic pilasters and a striking white terra cotta facade. Originally home to the exclusive Blackstone Shop, a women's clothing store run by Laura Green Noll, the building reflects the city's rich architectural heritage and was funded by local businessman William H. Noll. Over the years, it has housed various retail establishments and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in Fort Wayne's history.
