Wickham House, Spring Hill

Wickham House is a heritage-listed office building located in Spring Hill, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Constructed between 1923 and 1924, it was designed by architect Francis Richard Hall and has served as a medical precinct since its inception. The building features five storeys of rendered brick with Georgian architectural details, including oriel windows and a distinctive cornice. Historically significant, Wickham House was the site of a tragic shooting incident in 1955, which shocked the local community. Today, it continues to house medical specialists, preserving its original purpose while contributing to the rich history of the Wickham Terrace area, known for its evolution into a hub for medical professionals since the 19th century.
