Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart

The Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart serves as one of two cathedrals for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, the other being the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Galveston. It functions as the seat of the archbishop when he is in Houston and hosts major archdiocesan liturgies. The downtown location is a regular site for civic and ecclesiastical events in the archdiocese.
