Dai-ichi Life Hibiya First

Dai-ichi Life Hibiya First, formerly known as DN Tower 21, is a historic office high-rise in Tokyo, Japan, completed in 1995. The site has a rich history, having hosted Douglas MacArthur and his staff during the Allied occupation of Japan after World War II. Originally, it was home to the Norinchukin Bank and Dai-Ichi Life buildings, both designed by architect Jin Watanabe in the 1930s. The current structure incorporates elements of the original buildings, including the preserved MacArthur Memorial Room, and is recognized for its architectural significance, being designated a historical building by the Tokyo government in 2004. The tower stands at 99.8 meters and offers a glimpse into Tokyo's architectural evolution and historical legacy.
