Coffin's Grove Stagecoach House

Coffin's Grove Stagecoach House, also known as the Henry Baker House, is a historic site located near Manchester, Iowa. Built in 1855, this two-story Colonial-style house served as a hotel and post office, accommodating travelers and hosting community events. Named after early settler Clement Coffin, the house features locally sourced limestone and brick. It was recognized for its historical significance by being listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. Unfortunately, due to financial challenges, the house was dismantled in 2017 and was delisted in 2018, marking the end of its role as a landmark in the region.
