Eyal Fortress

Eyal Fortress, located in Bible Hill, Jerusalem, is a historical site with origins dating back to the early Ottoman period. Known in Arabic as 'Qasr al-Asfur' and 'Qasr al-Ghazal', the fortress features a 16th-century base and includes both a defensive structure and a later residential section. It served as the British Consulate's offices for over 50 years and remains a point of contention between developers aiming to build a hotel and preservationists advocating for its historical significance.
