Crum & Forster Building

The Crum & Forster Building, located at 771 Spring Street in Midtown Atlanta, is a historic 1928 structure featuring a Renaissance façade adorned with columns and arches. Originally designed by Georgia Tech alumni Ed Ivey and Lewis Crook, it served as a regional office for a national insurance firm. Despite plans for demolition in 2007 to expand Technology Square, preservationists successfully fought to grant it historic landmark status in 2009. Although two-thirds of the building was demolished in 2013, plans are underway to develop a restaurant and food hall in the remaining space, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers exploring Atlanta's architectural and cultural history.
