Town Hill, Wrexham

Town Hill, or Allt y Dref in Welsh, is a historic street in the heart of Wrexham, North Wales, known for its vibrant nightlife and rich history. Located just north of St Giles' Church, it serves as a crossroads connecting Church Street, High Street, and Hope Street. The street features several Grade II and Grade II* listed buildings, including Nos. 5, 7, and 9, which showcase medieval architecture and have been repurposed for modern use, such as restaurants and shops. Originally home to burgess plots with houses and shops, Town Hill has evolved over the centuries, with its name first recorded in 1801. The area was once the site of Wrexham's old town hall, demolished in 1940 to ease traffic congestion. Today, Town Hill is a lively destination, reflecting Wrexham's historical charm and contemporary culture.
