Rochambeau Worsted Company Mill

The Rochambeau Worsted Company Mill, located in the Olneyville neighborhood of Providence, Rhode Island, is a historic textile mill complex established in 1922 by French immigrants, the Lepoutre Brothers. This three-story brick-clad structure, built around 1923, was notable for being the third mill in Rhode Island to adopt a French textile processing system. The mill operated until 1956 and later housed the Imperial Knife Company until 1987. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2017, making it a significant site for those interested in industrial history and architecture.
