Seattle Asian Art Museum - 1933 Art Deco building in Volunteer Park

The Seattle Asian Art Museum is housed in an Art Deco building in Volunteer Park that was completed in 1933 and designed by architect Carl F. Gould. Originally constructed as the Seattle Art Museum's primary facility, the building was later dedicated to Asian art after SAM's downtown expansion. It underwent a major seismic, accessibility, and modernization renovation and reopened to the public in 2020.
