San Fernando Cathedral (historic stone cathedral)

San Fernando Cathedral in downtown San Antonio is an historic Roman Catholic cathedral built primarily of local limestone and dates to the Spanish-colonial era; it is among the oldest cathedrals in the United States. The cathedral's stone masonry has been repaired and restored over time, preserving elements of its 18th- and 19th-century construction. The building occupies Main Plaza and stands adjacent to other downtown historic markers and monuments.
