San Fernando Cathedral

San Fernando Cathedral was founded by Canary Islander settlers in 1731 and occupies one of the oldest parishes in Texas. The cathedral building contains 18th- and 19th-century elements and serves as the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of San Antonio. It remains an active parish and a central historic landmark on Main Plaza in downtown San Antonio.
